Rest assured, your pets are in good hands.
My whole life, I've been interested in animals and zoology. I feel that we can learn a lot from our animal friends, and they deserve our utmost respect. I've had experience taking care of dogs, cats, rats, rabbits, fish, and more!

My two cats, Zizer and Loos E. Fur (Luci for short), were rescued along with their other littermates by my sibling. I guess a love of animals just runs in the family, because after they were fostered by a family friend, I couldn't resist adopting! They've been apart of my family for 5 years now, and I have learned so much about them in that amount of time. I'd mostly grown up around dogs, and as you may know, the language of a cat is very different. Luci took to me quickly, but Zizer's love was much harder to earn. I learned a lot from Zizer in particular, because he has cerebellar hypoplasia and has needed a lot of accomodations in his life. Cats will teach you the importance of space, boundaries, and independence.I think compared to most other people's cats, mine are pretty high matinence. They have had a lot of weight, territory, and behavioural issues over the past few years that have taken a lot of careful work and changes to work through. They have strict feeding schedules and have to be fed specific ways, and they need daily brushing and play time. Even so, cats are my favorite animal to care for because they are often so misunderstood, which makes earning their love all the more rewarding.

A photo portrait of Ellis smiling after
walking to Jardim do Morro.
I live with two dogs, my childhood dog, Tramp, and my stepmom's dog, Ellis. Tramp really is the family dog, but I think he has always also been "my dog", because I am really close with him and I was the one taking him on walks, playing with him, and training him as a kid. It's hard to remember a time in my life where Tramp wasn't there, he's really like my little brother since we got him when I was nine. We grew up together and did everything together. Even now, he's going deaf, but he still knows all his hand-sign commands I trained him. Tramp has inspired me a lot throughout the years, and is the reason I began to learn about animal behaviours, training, and grooming. There is a lot of subtle psychology that goes into being a good pet owner, and I've taken efforts to understand that all thanks to this guy.Ellis has only been in my life for around four years. She's really shy and has been through a lot of traumatic things in her life. But, I'll never forget the joy we both experienced on this afternoon walk together in Jardim do Morro. That big smile on her face made me feel so happy, because I knew she was feeling enriched from a fun day out in the sun. That's the best feeling as a pet owner and pet sitter, knowing you've done a good job because the pet is showing it in their behaviour. That's what I strive for, everytime!

When we go on vacations, our pets really miss us. They may act different, eat less food, and seem mopey, rebellious, or frightened. It's my goal to pass the time with fun when possible! For a dog, it's said that 15 to 20 minutes of sniffing is the equivalent of around an hour's walk. We stop and smell the roses on our walks, even if there's a whole park full of 'em!Whatever your cats needs are, whether they love to play, cuddle, or simply be alone, I'll be ready and flexible to accommodate their unique personalities!

Hey, I'm Rhidley and my pronouns are he/him! I'm from eastern Washington (USA), but I moved to Portugal from Georgia (USA) with my boyfriend, my two moms, and our four pets. It's been 1+ year since we moved here, and I have no regrets. I'm very eager to give back to the community in Portugal, and pet sitting has been a very fulfilling way of doing that while still being able to maintain my freelance job.
